ABOUT THIS EVENT

The MEAC/SWAC Challenge is an annual Historically Black College football game presenting a team from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). This 6th annual game will feature Delaware State and Southern University at the Florida Citrus Bowl on September 5th. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.

The MEAC/SWAC Challenge awards one player from each team with the Walter Payton Achievement Award the day of the event. Six student athletes competing in this year’s game have been nominated for the award and will be chosen on September 3rd, after all of the votes are tallied. The award winners will be anounced at the game and their talents will be showcased at the event.
